Christophe, guide de la Compagnie de Chamonix, est allé en Oberland du 21 au 24 mars.
Son client Peter, nous fait partager ses émotions et ses photos.

"Our ski tour started in Wiler, Lötschental. We had four days to explore the Bernese Oberland. The first day we headed over the Petersgrat towards Stechelberg; the second we climbed the Mönch; the third we toured our way to the Hollandiahütte via the Louwitor col and Abeni Flue peak; the fourth day we climbed the Mittaghorn and skied down the hidden valley all the way to Blatten and back to our car.

The Highlights Day 1 - skiing over the Petersgrat with not a soul in the mountains (poor Christophe was making all the tracks); skiing through the trees and down ice fall to reach Stechelberg; discovering that there was a bus to take us to Lauterbrunnen;

Highlights Day 2 - climbing the Mönch in stunning weather, not a cloud in the sky - the last section was a steep arete leading to a sharp summit; having the Mönchsjochhütte to ourselves because the hut had not officially opened - somehow Christophe convinced Heidi to allow us to stay.

Highlights Day 3 - another beautiful day, wonderful skiing on the back of the Louwitor; standing on top of Abeni Flue with mountains in every direction; fun skiing all the way down to the Hollandiahütte.

Highlights Day 4 - all of it, climbing up the Mittaghorn ridge, blue skies, skiing through the glacier and all along the Blatten valley finishing off with a Rosti complet.
